1. Install minecraft forge (download and  run the .jar): FORGE

2. Open the Minecraft launcher and click edit profile

3. Change the Minecraft version to 1.7.10-Forge10.13.0.1180

4. Run Minecraft 

5. Close Minecraft once it launches

6. Download the Alpha of the Mod Below

7. Move "TheNewJourney.jar" to your "Mods" folder:

-Press the "Windows" key and the "R" key and then type %appdata% and then press enter

-Open the folder named ".minecraft" 

-Locate the "Mods" folder and move the mod into it

8. Launch Minecraft and Enjoy!

 

I also recommend NotEnoughItems, but resort to google for help with that.
